Job Summary:
The On-Road Salesperson is responsible for developing relationships and managing sales to construction businesses, contractors, and local, county, and state government entities. This role involves traveling within a defined territory, generating new business, maintaining current accounts, and promoting all departments and services offered by Dotterer Equipment Inc. This includes new and used equipment, parts, service, rentals, and financing options.
Qualifications:
- - Experience in sales, preferably with heavy equipment, construction, or government procurement – preferred but not required.
- - Strong knowledge of construction equipment, governmental purchasing procedures, and industry trends.
- - Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- - Proficient with technology – including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- - Self-motivated with strong time management and follow-up skills.
- - Ability to travel throughout territory, attend trade shows, and meet on-site with customers.
- - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- - Generate leads and pursue opportunities with construction companies and governmental buyers.
- - Provide accurate quotes and close sales for equipment and related services.
- - Prepare and submit bids in response to municipal, state, and federal procurement requests.
- - Deliver in-person presentations and on-site demonstrations to prospective customers.
- - Maintain contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and uncover new needs.
- - Promote cross-departmental sales including parts, service, rentals, and accessories.
- - Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and gross profit targets.
- - Stay informed on all products, incentives, and manufacturer programs.
- - Attend and represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and municipal expos.
- - Maintain accurate logs of customer contacts and follow-ups within the company CRM.
- - Collaborate with internal teams (Sales Manager, Parts, Service, Admin) for seamless customer support.

Job Summary:
The Parts & Accessories Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers with parts and accessories inquiries, selling parts over the counter, on the phone, and via email, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail and service environment.This position will report to the Parts Manager and work closely with the service department to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- - Prior experience in parts sales or inventory management preferred.
- - Knowledge of agricultural, construction, or powersports equipment and accessories.
